The library will be closed on Sunday, May 28th and Monday, May 29th in observance of Memorial Day.  We will reopen on Tuesday, May 30st at 10:00 AM.

Need help with your job search, application process, resume, or interviewing skills?  Make an appointment with us and we’ll go over the Virginia Workforce website to help you develop the skills to make it happen.  Please bring your resume and any job postings of interest. 


1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

rainbowCalling all families of preschoolers from birth to 5 years!  The library has partnered with Poquoson Kiwanis Club to help you prepare your youngster to enter kindergarten ready to read. Reading 1,000 books to your preschooler may sound daunting at first, but you are probably already doing it and just don’t realize it. You can set your own pace; it can be a multi-year project. Come into the library to register and get started.

Picturing the Past

family picture Teaming up with the Poquoson Museum and the Poquoson Historical Commission, the library is creating a digital archive of historic photos for the public to enjoy. If you have old photographs, negatives, or slides and would consider loaning them to the library for scanning, please call the library at 757-868-3060.
