Who we are

Established not only for the purpose of attracting young adults to the library, but also to give a structure to our participation so that we feel we have a place to fit in, the Teen Advisory Board gives teens a say in the selection of materials and activities as well as the responsibility of initiating and finishing projects of our own choosing. Meeting once a month, usually on the second Monday each month during the school year, we have chosen many service-related activities as well, including making cards for the residents of Dominion Village here in Poquoson, participating in the MacKenzie's 5K Run/Walk for MPS, and sponsoring a yearly bake sale to raise prize money for our annual poetry contest.
