1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

rainbowCalling all families of preschoolers from birth to 5 years!  The library has partnered with Poquoson Kiwanis Club to help you prepare your youngster to enter kindergarten ready to read. Accept the challenge – you can do it! Reading 1,000 books to your preschooler may sound daunting at first, but you are probably already doing it and just don’t realize it. You can set your own pace; it can be a multi-year project. One book per night for 3 years = 1,095 books.  Reading 10 books a week for 2 years will do it or double that and you’ll be finished in just 1 year! Come into the library to register and get started.
