love your library volunteer

Thanks for helping us provide the best service to our patrons!

The Library welcomes our volunteers. We currently have over 90 volunteers who share their knowledge, expertise, enthusiasm, energy, and ideas through the community. Volunteers are an integral part of our library's support to our public. They provide superb support to the library staff and work on special projects. Volunteers assist staff in many areas from programs to shelving books and other daily library operations. Each year a city-wide Volunteer Recognition Luncheon is held in April during National Volunteer Week to honor our volunteers.

Teens 12 years or older are welcome to volunteer during the summertime to fulfill the requirement for the National Honor Society, Scout badges, etc.

Youth volunteer applications and adult volunteer applications can be printed out and brought in, or stop by our Circulation Desk to pick up a copy.

50 Hour Club

Adults who volunteer 50 or more hours during the year are inducted into the Fifty-Hour VIP Club, as our way of recognizing their outstanding achievement. For each club member, a new book is added to the library's collection in his or her honor.

Warm thanks to our 2016 inductees: Katie Fromm, Jean Grim, Justin McDaniel, Ryan Patton, and Marylou Thompson.
